12:06pm | The Los Angeles Conservation Corps, supported by a grant from Boeing, is partnering with organizations throughout Southern California to better manage water as a resource. Corpsmembers learned water conservation strategies, including how to design and install a rainwater catchment system, and put their training to use at a project site in Long Beach, in time for the rainy season.
The public is invited to the Long Beach Community Action Partnership (LB CAP) Demonstration Garden Thursday, September 22 from 9:00am to 10:00am to hear more about the program and see how the rainwater catchment system is making the garden more sustainable. The Garden is located at 3012 Long Beach Blvd.
