After serving the Seal Beach community for nearly 15 years, Beachwood BBQ & Brewing will permanently close its flagship location on Main Street. Its Long Beach brewing and dining space along with its Huntington Beach bottling and canning facility will remain open.

“With much sadness, we’re closing the doors in Seal Beach,” said co-owner and master brewer Julian Shrago. “Luckily, beer sales are strong, especially cans, allowing us to keep the Huntington Beach and Long Beach locations open. But I think all hospitality will start going through more roller coasters as COVID infections continue. We have to deal with it as it comes and remain nimble. The Beachwood brand and enterprise are strong—we’ll get through this.”

This marks the second major permanent closure on Main Street, Seal Beach’s largest stretch of local commercial spaces, following the closure of the much beloved Walt’s Wharf restaurant.

Beachwood’s other co-owners, Gabe and Lena Gordon, left a message on Facebook announcing the closure and their sentiments:

Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in Long Beach is located at 210 E. Third Street on the Promenade in Downtown Long Beach. It is joined by sister brewery, Beachwood Blendery, located at 247 N. Long Beach Blvd.
