Twilight Cinema, a series of free drive-in movie nights sponsored by the Port of Long Beach and the City, will screen two movies a week until the end of summer at parking lots in Downtown Long Beach and Belmont Shore. Films will be screened through September 6 at the Granada Beach lot, located at Ocean Boulevard and Bennett Avenue, as well as the “Elephant Lot,” the 13-acre parking lot located immediately southeast of the Long Beach Arena.

A reservation is required to see each movie and are taken starting at 9 a.m. one week before each individual screening. One vehicle is permitted per registration.

While “Abominable” and “Maleficent” are already sold out, registration has begun for the next film, “Dora and the Lost City of Gold” on Tuesday, August 18.

Movie schedule includes:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 18 – “Dora and the Lost City of Gold” at Granada Beach
  • Friday, Aug. 21 – “Toy Story 4” at the Convention Center
  • Tuesday, Aug. 25 – “Sonic the Hedgehog” at Granada Beach
  • Friday, Aug. 28 – “Frozen II” at the Convention Center
  • Sunday, Sept. 6 – “Onward” at the Convention Center

Movies begin at dusk, around 8:30 p.m. The parking lot will open at 6:30 p.m. and spots are given out on a first-come, first-serve basis.

For movies shown at Granada Beach, enter at Ocean Boulevard and Bennett Avenue. For Convention Center movies, enter at Linden Avenue and Shoreline Drive.

Patrons must adhere to all COVID-19 requirements to promote a safe experience for all. Due to physical distancing requirements, people can only attend in vehicles.
