The 17th Anniversary event returns to Harry Bridges Memorial Park to raise awareness for the Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club, and to provide some fun during two days of sipping exquisite wines, craft brews and other fun beverages along the bayfront

LONG BEACH, CALIF. – LAWineFest returns to Harry Bridges Memorial Park at the Long Beach Harbor for the premier wine tasting event of the year June 4 and 5. Featuring award-winning wines from around the globe – plus craft brews and more – the park beside the historic Queen Mary sets the mood for LAWineFest to provide a relaxed space where fun, exploration and wine education is balanced with artisan shopping boutiques, live music, great food trucks and more. And it’s for a great cause. This year the LAWineFest has again partnered with the Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club as its charitable partner, raising funds and awareness for the original founding chapter of the organization over the course of the two days.

“We’re thrilled to return to Long Beach for our 17th year, and to provide thousands of Festgoers an amazing opportunity to be introduced to at least 50+ established and newer wineries each pouring a number of varietels, several breweries, ciders and much more, while supporting a great cause in the Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club,” LAWineFest Director and CEO Scherr Lillico said. “We’re so lucky to be supported by our sponsors, including the Long Beach Post, Long Beach’s only winery, Waters Edge, the gorgeous Hotel Maya, and the Long Beach Council District 1, among others. We know 2022 will be a banner year.”

It’s probably no surprise to Long Beach lovers that the city provides the perfect central location for locals, and those traveling from Los Angeles and Orange counties (and beyond), with neighboring iconic venues, and amazing vibes, making it easy to create a weekend full of fun to take in all Long Beach has to offer. This year’s Fest returns to its summer roots after it successfully “came out of quarantine” in October 2021, and it’s gearing up to be the biggest yet, with more wineries, exhibitors and fun folks slated to join the fun.

After a few hours of sipping, savoring and strolling, attendees can take a break and enjoy lobster rolls, brats, pizza, Caribbean food, burgers, and more from an array of food trucks and booths, including from acclaimed Fuego of the Hotel Maya, available for purchase. There is also a unique array of lifestyle exhibitors offering everything from wine accessories, chocolates, jewelry, clothing, unique candles, and more. When the Fest concludes each day, attendees are encouraged to check out the award-winning restaurants and stores nearby in the city.
