Fingerprints Music is pickin’ up good vibrations next week when the Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson makes his second appearance at the local record store for a signing of his new album, No Pier Pressure.
The singer, who is famous for hits like “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” and “Surfin’ U.S.A.,” will stop by the store for an exclusive signing on April 9 for attendees on the guest list, which is open now, according to a statement from Fingerprints.
Wilson previously did a signing of his record The Smile Sessions at Fingerprints in November 2011.
“As a music fan who grew up on The Beach Boys, having Brian come in to sign the Smile release a couple of years ago, ranks among the coolest events we’ve had the opportunity to host here at the shop,” said Fingerprints owner Rand Foster in a statement. “To have him come back to celebrate the incredible new album No Pier Pressure is kind of a mind-blower.”
Those interested in attending can get on the guest list by pre-ordering No Pier Pressure. Fingerprints is offering the album in three versions: a regular CD for $11.99, a deluxe CD with three bonus songs for $14.99 and a limited number of LPs for $26.99. To pre-order the album, call the store at 562-433-4996.
Wilson will sign one item per person. Guests are welcome to have him sign their copies of No Pier Pressure or a catalog item.
The signing will take place on April 9 at 7:00PM at Fingerprints, located at 420 East Fourth Street.
