Motorcycle stunts, pit stop competitions, classic cars and a concert kicked off this year’s Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on Thunder Thursday at The Pike Outlets.
The Grand Prix-eve event includes “endless activities, racing, live music and so much more,” said Steve Goodling, president and CEO of the Convention and Visitors Bureau, which sponsors the event.
The Grand Prix this year in Downtown Long Beach kicks off Friday, when gates open at 7:30 a.m. The IndyCar race—the series’ champion this year will be decided in Long Beach—is Sunday.
