The show goes on for the 9th annual Uptown Jazz Festival in North Long Beach as the party moves online. This year’s theme, “The Best of Uptown,” intends on celebrating the unique businesses, landmarks and artists of North Long Beach. The show, featuring DW3, Boxcar 7, Biscuits & Gravy Live, Susie Hansen Latin Band and She Wears Black, kicks off Oct. 18 from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Councilman Rex Richardson’s office announced this year’s musical line up and teased that special guests would join the online stream.

“Every year, the Uptown Jazz Festival brings us together to enjoy some of the best live performances our city has to offer, and 2020 should be no exception,” Richardson said.

Richardson is urging viewers to order takeout meals from local North Long Beach businesses and share photos from wherever their tuning in from on social media using the hashtag #UptownJazzFest2020
