A very special someone paid a visit to young patients at the Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach on Thursday, as Santa Claus hopped into his sleigh and traveled all the way from the North Pole to a hospital conference room transformed into Santa’s Workshop.

Patients at the world-renowned children’s hospital decorated cookies, wrapped gifts for family and friends, and received the newest and coolest holiday gifts from Santa himself.

Santa decided to make the trip after a phone call from Turner Construction, the company that built the hospital expansion completed earlier this year. Volunteers from the Aquarium of the Pacific also attended to help out the jolly old man.
