The recent appointment of Mayor Robert Garcia to the Metro Board is not a small thing. It’s huge news—and not just for urbanerds and transit geeks but for Long Beach and the region.

And now, the Mayor wants to have a beer with you and talk about his role with Metro at a town hall proudly hosted and sponsored by Longbeachize and moderated by our editor, Brian Addison.

This is Beer’n’Transit with Mayor and Metro Board Member Robert Garcia.

Taking place on Thursday, February 16 at MADE by Millworks in DTLB, the discussion will take on everything from the Blue Line to Measure M because, let’s be honest: Metro’s business is Long Beach’s business—and it remains an essential cog in how Long Beach operates as well as how outsiders connect to Long Beach.

The event is free and open to the public.

– 4:30PM – 6:00PM: Mingle’n’drinks
– 6:00PM – 7:30PM: Town Hall (moderated by Brian Addison)
– 7:30PM – 9:00PM: Wind down, discuss, and shop
