More than 30 firefighters knocked down a fire at a two-story commercial building near the St. Mary Medical Center complex in Long Beach Sunday morning, Long Beach Fire Department spokesman Jake Heflin said.

The building at 411 E. 10th St., near Elm Avenue, was vacant in its commercial operations during the fire, which was extinguished in about 15 minutes at 11:18 a.m., according to Heflin. The Long Beach Police Department assisted with traffic control, he said. No injuries were reported.

At this time, LBFD does not know the cause of the fire. The investigation remains ongoing, Heflin said.
