Firefighters snuff out small blaze inside apartment near Rose Park neighborhood

The Long Beach Fire Department extinguished a small fire at a four-unit apartment building near the Rose Park neighborhood Saturday night, according to LBFD spokesman Capt. Jack Crabtree.

At around 7:24 p.m., Crabtree said firefighters responded to Seventh Street near Orizaba Avenue where, in just a few minutes, they put out the flame inside one of the units on the second floor of the apartment structure, Crabtree said.

No one was injured, and the unit suffered minimal damage, Crabtree said. Fire investigators are still working to determine the cause of the blaze.
