On 08/12/16 at 5:44PM | You’ve known them for years, while they’ve toiled away at making their mark on the city. Perhaps they’re an avid political operative, building relationships and overseeing negotiations that will forever alter the city.

Maybe they’re a local entrepreneur, creating an innovative product that will impact the world. Or, maybe they’ve dedicated their life to helping those less fortunate and build a stronger community through a nonprofit or coalition of the same.

Maybe this person is all three. That’s who we want you to find, describe and nominate. Because after a three-year hiatus, the Post’s signature event, 40 Under 40, is back, and bigger than ever.

This is a chance to highlight some of the city’s best, with bright futures ahead of them. These are the change-makers and trendsetters, putting Long Beach on the map. Now we all have an opportunity to discover the people making the city tick in a special way.

The nomination period begins August 5 and ends on August 26. Following this nomination period, a panel of judges will narrow down the nominations to select 40 winners.

The ceremony will take place on September 29, 2016 at Hotel Maya, right here in Long Beach.
