Yesterday at 10AM, the intersection of 7th Street and Atlantic Avenue was closed for an hour-and-a-half due to a three vehicle collision that involved two cars and a Long Beach Transit bus.
A small Ford car and bus #9712 were traveling southbound on Atlantic while a 4-door Audi was traveling westbound on 7th; the Audi collided with the Ford and, since the bus was unable to stop, it collided with the Audi.
The driver of the Ford, only identified as an adult male, the driver of the bus, an adult female, and seven passengers were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the Audi, an adult female, declined to be transported for what resulted in minor injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing.
