A 38-year-old man was sentenced Thursday to 12 years in state prison for the stabbing death of a man who was found dead inside the victim’s motor home near the Traffic Circle in Long Beach.

Justin Michael St. George of Long Beach pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter for the killing of Gary Rice and admitted an allegation that he used a knife in the commission of the crime, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Rice, 62, was found dead inside the RV in a parking lot in the 1700 block of Ximeno Avenue on Dec. 6, 2015.

A motive for the attack was unclear.

St. George was arrested by Long Beach police about two months later and has remained behind bars since then.
