Police are looking for man that robbed Leo’s Mexican Grill in the Willmore neighborhood of West Long Beach near Drake Park around 6 p.m. Monday, authorities said.

Long Beach Police spokesperson Allison Gallagher said that officers were sent to the 700 block of Magnolia Avenue on Jan. 3 where an employee at Leo’s Mexican Grill told police that a man entered the restaurant with a gun and demanded money.

Fearing for her safety, the employee complied with the robber’s demand, Gallagher said. The robber was last seen running away southbound on Magnolia Avenue.

Only cash was taken, according to LBPD, though the quantity is not known at this time.

This is the sixth armed robbery on a Long Beach business in a span of two days. Police say there is currently no indication that this incident is connected to the recent string of commercial armed robberies that took place across Long Beach on Sunday, Jan. 2.

The investigation is ongoing.
