PCH shut down after vehicle hits pedestrian Friday night • Long Beach Post

A man was hospitalized Friday night after getting hit by a vehicle while crossing the street at PCH and Maine Avenue shortly before 8:30 p.m.

The female driver stayed at the scene near the South Wrigley neighborhood, and the man was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

The police closed PCH in both directions while investigating the crash.

Police ask that anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Collision Investigation Detail at (562) 570-7355.
