A man was injured after being hit by a car as he was crossing the street in Central Long Beach, and police are looking for the driver who fled the scene, authorities said.
Police responded to the area of Pasadena Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway around 6:34 p.m. Sunday after receiving reports of an injury hit-and-run. When officers arrived, the man told police he was crossing the street when he was hit by an unknown car whose driver fled before authorities arrived, police said.
The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
