The traffic collision occurred just after 2:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of East Wardlow Road, a few blocks west of Reservoir Park.
The driver of the car carrying the victim was exiting a lot on Rogers Street and attempting to make a right onto Cherry Avenue when a driver going southbound on Cherry Avenue struck their car, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Firefighters and paramedics used the “Jaws of Life” to extract three people from the wreckage, the Long Beach Fire Department reported.
Four of the six people inside the vehicle were taken to a local hospital, where two are in serious condition, fire officials said.
A woman was hospitalized after a car hit her while she was crossing the street near the Los Angeles River, according to Long Beach Police.
The crash was reported at 11:25 a.m. Sunday at Alamitos Avenue and Broadway, Long Beach police Lt. Brian McPhail said.
Paramedics took the woman to a hospital where her vital signs were stable, police said.
Police said the man was found unconscious and rushed to the hospital after the force of the crash threw him from his vehicle.
A motorist and one of his passengers were hospitalized in critical condition after they crashed into a tree, light pole and unoccupied motorhome in East Long Beach Saturday night, authorities said.
