Police began investigating two overnight shootings which did not result in any reported injuries, according to Long Beach police.

On Saturday night at around 5:34 p.m., police said they responded to the area of Willow Street near Baltic Avenue in West Long Beach regarding a report of gunshots. Several hours later on Sunday morning at 2:00 a.m., officers responded to the area of Brayton Avenue near 65th Street in North Long Beach after receiving another report of shots fired.

In both incidents, upon arrival, officers were unable to locate a victim but did locate evidence of a shooting, they said.

No motive has been identified at this time.
