A Seal Beach police officer was transported to a local hospital with non-fatal injuries after crashing his department motorcycle while on-duty, authorities said.

Long Beach Police Department spokesperson Brandon Fahey said that LBPD officers responded to the area of Studebaker Road and 2nd Street in East Long Beach near Marina Pacifica Shopping Center after reports of a traffic collision in the area.

After locating the Seal Beach officer, the Long Beach Fire Department transported him to the hospital.

At this time, investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
