One of the cars was overturned on the 3200 block of Santa Fe Avenue.
Signs reading “please excuse our appearance while we’re under construction” were posted outside American Vintage Barbershop in Belmont Shore along with others redirecting customers to the back entrance of the shop.
“All that matters is that people get to walk away from it,” an employee at the barbershop said. “You know? It could have been way worse.”
Three of the seven people were left with critical injuries after the crash at Anaheim Street and Ximeno Avenue, police said.
Officers were dispatched to the scene at 10:42 a.m., where they found the woman in the parking stall, lying underneath a pile of blankets, according to police
A car crashed into the facade and parklet of Lord Windsor coffee shop on the corner of Third Street and Cerritos Avenue Monday afternoon, breaking the front window and damaging the shop’s parklet, according to eyewitness accounts on social media.
As a precaution, the drivers of both vehicles were transported to a local hospital for evaluation, police said.
During the heavy rain, a car crashed into the front wall of the Taco Surf restaurant on Pacific Coast Highway. Police are now looking for the driver.
Kort Natterstad, 33, was on a camping trip with his friends when the car they were in rolled over and he was thrown from the vehicle.
“He would always joke around,” said 21-year-old Alexander Cruz, who had been friends with Evan William Davis since the two were in second grade. “No matter what the situation was, he would always find a way to make people laugh.”
