Police say 23-year-old Jahson Imgrund of Lake Forest fled the scene on foot after causing a crash that left five injured in Seal Beach on Feb. 11. Imgrund turned himself in on Sunday, Feb 19.
Two of the patients have since been discharged, and the other three patients—all 17-year-old girls from Orange County—remain hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
The woman appears to have been driving southbound on Orange Avenue when she crossed into the northbound lanes and struck two unoccupied parked vehicles along a curb, police said.
Two cars overturned in the area of Wardlow Road and Bellflower Boulevard on Monday around 12:32 p.m., police said.
One of the cars was overturned on the 3200 block of Santa Fe Avenue.
Signs reading “please excuse our appearance while we’re under construction” were posted outside American Vintage Barbershop in Belmont Shore along with others redirecting customers to the back entrance of the shop.
“All that matters is that people get to walk away from it,” an employee at the barbershop said. “You know? It could have been way worse.”
Three of the seven people were left with critical injuries after the crash at Anaheim Street and Ximeno Avenue, police said.
