Detectives believe the victim and attacker had an argument, which escalated into the stabbing. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
The shooter approached the victim on foot, fired and then fled in a white car before officers arrived, the LBPD said.
A man told police he was shot while sitting in his car in West Long Beach Sunday night, and officers quickly found the suspect believed to be responsible, according to authorities.
Police arrested Devon Yarbrough, 27, just after 11 a.m. Monday at a motel in Gardena and booked him on one count of murder, according to the announcement.
The bar was featured on the Spike TV show “Bar Rescue” in 2013.
Long Beach police are investigating after a man was found dead early Tuesday morning on the corner of Orange Avenue and Esther Street.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition, authorities said.
During the heavy rain, a car crashed into the front wall of the Taco Surf restaurant on Pacific Coast Highway. Police are now looking for the driver.
