A woman who was riding a scooter in Downtown Wednesday around midnight was injured in a hit-and-run, police said. The driver is still at large.

Police said a group of people were riding electric scooters in the intersection of Pacific Avenue and 4th Street at about 12:08 a.m. when one of the riders was struck by a dark-color sedan.

The woman was transported to a local hospital by the Long Beach fire department.

The driver of the suspect vehicle fled the area, and was last seen headed westbound on Pacific Avenue and then northbound on Cedar Avenue, police said. No other details were provided, and the investigation is ongoing.
