The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office has charged a Long Beach man with murder after he allegedly intentionally ran over a 40-year-old Long Beach man who left behind a wife and seven kids.

Sokhorn Hor, 29, of Long Beach pleaded not guilty to the charge on Tuesday and is scheduled to return to court Sept. 18.

Police say Hor ran over Victor Herrera near Market Street and Orange Avenue after an argument and then fled the scene. He was later arrested after he crashed into a parked car near 10th Street and Obispo Avenue, police said.

His bail is set at $2 million and if convicted as charged, Hor faces a possible maximum sentence of 25 years to life in state prison.

To pay for funeral expenses, the family has started a GoFundMe page.
