At around 8 a.m. Sunday morning, gray clouds brought a meager .03 inches of rain and drizzle across Long Beach, according to the National Weather Service.

The light precipitation lasted up until the early afternoon as a few pedestrians out and about walked with umbrellas. In some parts of Long Beach, the water made puddles in the dips and potholes in the roads, car wash businesses were left abandoned and some people experiencing homelessness searched for cover.

The last time Long Beach saw rain was in May this year.
