Police say they’re looking for a shooter who wounded a man while he was walking along Olive Avenue in Long Beach Thursday night.
Bobby Bernard, 68, is currently receiving care at a local hospital under police supervision.
The man told officers he’d been shooting the gun “towards the sky to ensure it was operable,” an LBPD spokesman said.
A man told police he was shot while sitting in his car near Martin Luther King Jr. Park this morning.
A 13-year old boy was injured in a shooting that reportedly took place on the 710 Freeway early Tuesday morning.
Long Beach police say they’re investigating a pair of shootings that happened about a mile away from each other Monday night.
The man suspected of the stabbing left the scene before officers got there, police said.
The gunfire was reported just before 1 a.m. in the 200 block of Bay Street, said Long Beach police Lt. Shaleana Benson.
A driver was shot while he fled from a man brandishing a gun at him near the intersection of Market Street and Atlantic Avenue early this morning, according to Long Beach police.
Police said they were called to the scene of the shooting around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday. When officers arrived, they found a man who’d been shot in the upper body, LBPD spokeswoman Jennifer Arzola said.
