Officers have established a perimeter in the area and a K9 unit is on the scene.

A man driving a stolen vehicle was arrested today after leading officers on a foot chase through the Zaferia neighborhood in eastern Long Beach, police said.
Police said that Chevy Silverado pickup trucks from 2000 through 2006 were the most common target.

On Wednesday, Colamonico parked his SUV with the trailer attached through two adjoined parking spots at the Lakewood mall around 6 p.m.

A motorist who was hospitalized after crashing into a fire hydrant in front of an east Long Beach school Sunday afternoon allegedly hit a police car before fleeing in a suspected stolen vehicle, authorities said.
