There’s only one dedicated pickleball court in the city. “It’s clearly Long Beach’s biggest unmet recreational need,” according to our top parks official.
The pool first closed on Dec. 20 for regular maintenance, “and then we experienced issues with the pool filter system and are in the process of making repairs,” a city official said.
There are five pools open to the public in Long Beach, with varying fees and hours.
Long Beach youth under 17 will now be able to access community pools for a $1 admission fee, reduced from a previous fee of $2 to $3, the City of Long Beach announced today.
