“Nothing is going to happen to you as long as you come out and you’re cooperative,” police could be heard telling the man holed up inside.
Officers were called at around 9:21 p.m. following reports of a man with a gun inside a business.
Several streets near Colorado Place and Third Street were closed Thursday morning as agents in armored vehicles and military-style fatigues helped serve a warrant, authorities said.
Police say someone reported seeing a man going into a residence with a gun sometime around 6:10 p.m.
The suspect surrendered just as Long Beach SWAT units arrived at the scene near 15th Street and Locust Avenue, authorities said.

Authorities today went to a home near Don Knabe Community Regional Park on a report that a burglary suspect was inside, but the person was not found.
