The days of Steamed coming to an end as owners Stephanie and Bryan Carlough announced the closure via Facebook.
After opening up shop in 2017 and taking over the former Powell’s Sweet Shoppe at 5282 E. Second St., candy and all-things-soda shop Rocket Fizz has closed.
Two 4th Street businesses have decided to call it quits: the tiny ramen shop known as Mr. Makoto and the vegan chocolatier Anandamide.
Tyler Lee, owner of Do Good Donuts & Treats, announced that Sunday, January 6 would be the last day the shop will be open for business.
This marks the second major closure of a staple food and drink establishment in the Shore this year, following the closure of Acapulco Inn which had served the Shore for over 60 years.
What became of them all? The reasons are as varied as the menu offerings of the roster of shuttered restaurants.
The business, located at 209 Pine Ave., was closed July 20. The business was allowed to reopen July 22 after a re-inspection found the facility to be clean.
