At around 1:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of E. Shoreline Drive regarding a gunfire call, and, upon arrival, officers found casings in the parking lot at the scene, police said.
Two residents who lived in separate units of the complex at Chestnut Way near 25th Street told police they slept through the gunfire at 2 a.m.
In a separate shooting in Central Long Beach less than an hour earlier, a parked and unoccupied vehicle was struck will bullets.
Authorities are investigating three separate shootings in Long Beach Saturday evening and into Sunday morning, including one in which a person was hospitalized with gunshot wounds, police said.
