Police said they arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of knocking a woman unconscious, then raping her near Downtown Long Beach. The incident happened shortly after 2:35 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Alamitos Avenue and Fourth Street, according to Long Beach police.
